Amedzofe in the Ho West District of the Volta Region is set to welcome a Zipline facility by the end of the year, a development expected to enhance the community’s tourism appeal. Preparatory works on the project are far advanced, with the land for the project cleared and equipment already shipped into the country for assembling.
The facility, to be based at Amedzofe, is projected to commence operations between November and December. The Assembly Man for Amedzofe, Robert Elikem Ameh, expressed confidence in the progress, noting that, “the land is ready and by November, latest December, the Zipline will be in operation from Amedzofe.”

Mr. Ameh further disclosed that the community is also preparing to introduce paragliding as an additional attraction. He explained that trials had already been conducted, saying, “there are various places that have been tested, especially about two, and it has proven that it’s possible to do it.” He added that work is ongoing to secure safe landing sites for the activity.
Stakeholders and tourism enthusiasts believe the introduction of the Zipline and paragliding will stimulate economic activity and create new opportunities for the local community, while firmly placing Amedzofe on the tourism map of the country and the Volta Region. Reply Forward
