A philanthropist, Nana Darkowaah I, the Queen Mother of Wassa Powuako in the Wassa Amenfi East in the Western Region has extended a hand of support to the Village of Hope at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region.
She presented assorted soft drinks and biscuits valued at thousands of Ghana cedis to the Home. The donation was received by Mother Betty on behalf of the management and inmates of the Village of Hope.
Speaking during the presentation, Nana Darkowaah said the gesture formed part of her commitment to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged, especially children. She noted, “I believe that every child deserves love and care, and this is my small way of showing them that society has not forgotten about them. I will continue to support the Home whenever I am able to.”
Receiving the items, Mother Betty expressed gratitude to Nana Darkowaah for the timely support. She remarked, “We are very grateful for this kind gesture. It will go a long way to bring joy to the children and remind them that they are loved. We encourage other benevolent individuals and organizations to emulate this example.”
The Village of Hope has over the years catered for the needs of vulnerable children, providing them with shelter, education, and a nurturing environment.
