The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has issued a final reminder to members intending to participate in the 29th GJA Media Awards to submit their entries before the deadline on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 23:59 hours.
A statement from the Association noted that only members in good standing are eligible to apply, with entries strictly limited to works published or broadcast in 2024. Submissions are to be made online through the designated WeTransfer platform.
The Association emphasized that no extension will be granted beyond the stipulated deadline. Each applicant is allowed to submit entries for a maximum of two award divisions, with not more than two works per division.
The 29th GJA Media Awards is scheduled to take place at Manhyia in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, and is expected to be a grand event celebrating excellence in Ghanaian journalism.
The GJA further stated that the Awards Committee reserves the right not to declare a winner in any category where entries do not meet the required standard.
The Media Awards remain one of the flagship platforms for promoting professionalism and excellence in journalism across the country.
