NSA Addresses Data Mismatch Challenges in 2025/26 National Service Registration

By Jones Anlimah

The National Service Authority (NSA) has acknowledged challenges facing some prospective national service personnel during the ongoing registration for the 2025/2026 service year, citing data mismatches as the major cause.

In a press release issued by the Authority’s Head Office in Accra, management noted that the discrepancies, particularly in Dates of Birth (DOB) and Names between information submitted by tertiary institutions and details on personnel’s Ghana Cards, have prevented some graduates from successfully completing their online registration.

According to the statement signed by the Director-General, Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Authority has outlined measures to address the issue and ensure that all eligible graduates can register without unnecessary delays.

The NSA directed that any prospective service personnel whose details differ from those on their Ghana Card must swear an affidavit, have it gazetted, and submit it through their respective tertiary institutions. The institutions will then forward the verified documents to the Authority for correction and approval.

Additionally, where errors originate from the tertiary institutions, affected personnel have been advised to immediately notify their schools for rectification. The institutions, in turn, are to communicate the corrected details to the NSA through the designated email addresses; classlist@nss.gov.gh and tweneboah.kodua@nss.gov.gh.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all qualified graduates are able to undertake their mandatory national service in key areas of national development.

It further encouraged prospective personnel experiencing challenges to contact their respective Regional or District Offices for assistance or reach out to the Head Office for support services.
