The Ghana Police Service has arrested three additional suspects in connection with the daylight robbery at a gold jewellery shop at Adabraka in the Greater Accra Region.
According to a Police statement issued in Accra on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, the suspects, identified as Fatao Mohammed, also known as Motorway; Nashiru Abubakari, also known as Soldier; and Sadick Abubakar, alias 50 Cent, were picked up on January 19, 2026. The three are believed to be the main gang leaders behind the syndicate.
Their arrest brings the total number of suspects apprehended in relation to the incident to seven.
The Police recalled that the robbery occurred on November 2, 2024, when a gang attacked the jewellery shop in broad daylight and made away with an estimated GH¢7.5 million worth of jewellery and cash.
The Service assured the public that investigations are ongoing and reiterated its resolve to ensure that all persons connected to the robbery are brought to justice.
