The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has engaged Communication Officers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region to strengthen public communication on government policies and development initiatives.
The meeting, held in Ho, formed part of efforts to equip party communicators with accurate and up-to-date information to effectively engage the public and promote awareness of government programmes.
Hon. Gunu used the opportunity to outline key projects and interventions being implemented across the region to improve socio-economic development. These include ongoing infrastructure works, social intervention programmes, and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing livelihoods.
Through a series of presentations, participants were taken through the government’s development agenda, with emphasis on the need for coordinated messaging and fact-based communication. The Minister stressed the importance of proactive community engagement in building public trust and ensuring that citizens are well informed about government efforts.
The engagement also provided a platform for interaction, allowing Communication Officers to share ideas and strategies to improve outreach and deepen collaboration.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by participants to effectively communicate government policies and achievements, while keeping residents of the Volta Region informed and engaged.
