The management of the Amedzofe Canopy Walkway in the Ho West District of the Volta Region has announced the temporary closure of the facility following an incident involving one of its small exit pillars on Thursday, December 4,2025.
In a public notice issued yesterday December 5, 2025, the management explained that the closure is a precautionary measure to allow a team of local and international engineers to carry out a full structural assessment of the walkway. According to the statement, the engineers will guide the next steps to ensure the facility meets all required safety standards before reopening.
The notice assured the public that the walkway will remain closed until it is declared fully secure for use, emphasising that visitor safety remains the management’s highest priority.
Management also apologised for the inconvenience caused and expressed appreciation to visitors and stakeholders for their understanding and continued support.
The Amedzofe Canopy Walkway is one of the region’s key tourism attractions, drawing both domestic and international tourists to the scenic Amedzofe landscape.

Good day.
Is it already in sight when this Canopy Walkway will be ready again for tourists?
We would really like to visit this wonderful place. Also when this is still not ready when we visit what else is nice to undertake at this place? For example a guided tour with a guide. We would really like to see the wildlife and nature.
We will keep you updated on it. In the meantime you can contact me(the administrator) on (papamocks31@gmail.com) to help you on what yiu can do or where you can equally visit once the place is not yet ready. I will be glad to serve you in that respect.
