The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted a teacher at Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region over alleged sexual misconduct with a female student.

A statement signed by the Head of Public Relations at GES, Daniel Fenyí, said the decision follows a disturbing video circulating on social media allegedly involving the teacher, Mr. Mfo Richard Tibetor, in an act deemed a clear violation of the professional code of conduct for teachers.

The statement noted that Mr. Tibetor has been interdicted and prohibited from entering the school premises while investigations continue.

GES emphasized that the safety and protection of students remain its topmost priority, stressing that any teacher found culpable of acts that compromise the dignity and wellbeing of students will face the full rigours of the law in line with its Code of Conduct.

The Service reiterated its commitment to ensuring discipline, professionalism, and child protection across all schools in the country.
