The Chiefs and elders of Ho-Ahoe, in collaboration with indigenes and residents, have launched a fundraising durbar aimed at raising funds to complete the community’s long-awaited multipurpose centre.

The event, held at the Ho-Ahoe Community Centre, was under the theme “Celebrating Together Our Culture, Raising Funds for Building Our Community Centre in Unity.”

Speaking at the durbar, Togbe Kasa III, the Divisional Chief (Dufia) of Ho-Ahoe, recalled that the project, which began in 2006, has progressed through the dedication and hard work of community members. He emphasized that the facility, when completed, will house a clinic, a radio and television station, a library, and a modern conference hall. He therefore appealed to citizens, friends, and stakeholders to donate generously towards the completion of the project.

Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Hon. Edem Kofi Kpotosu, also addressed the gathering. He assured of his continuous efforts to lobby for development projects within the constituency to complement the initiative of the people of Ho-Ahoe.

Other dignitaries present included Togbe Adase V, Divisional Chief of Ho-Ahoe; Togbe Dzogbeta III, Asafofia of Ho-Ahoe; Abor Henry, Sorhefia of Ho-Ahoe; and Mama Kuma, Sorheyonufia of Ho-Ahoe, as well as opinion leaders and invited guests.

The chiefs and elders expressed optimism that with renewed commitment and support from both home and abroad, the Ho-Ahoe Community Centre project will be completed to serve as a hub for health, education, culture, and social activities.
