The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Hon. Edem Kofi Kpotosu, has announced plans to introduce a programme to provide new school uniforms for pupils across the constituency whose uniforms are torn or worn out.
Speaking during the distribution of 15,000 exercise books to learners, the MP said the initiative is aimed at reducing the financial burden on parents while ensuring that children maintain confidence and dignity in school.
“I am putting a programme in place whereby we will show school uniforms and open offices across the constituency. Then, when your school uniform gets torn, you only go there with your school uniform and they will change it for you, swap it for you, you get a new uniform,” Hon. Kpotosu revealed.

He appealed to parents to complement the effort by continuing to provide clothing support for their children, stressing that a child’s wellbeing should always remain a top priority.
The MP further assured that the programme, which will begin on a pilot basis, will be scaled up to cover all schools in the constituency once fully established.
The intervention, according to Hon. Kpotosu, forms part of broader efforts to improve educational outcomes in Ho Central by addressing not only teaching and learning needs but also the welfare of learners.
