The Ho Teaching Hospital (HTH) has taken a major step in its drive to become Ghana’s leading medical tourism destination with the official commissioning of a Meditation Garden and Music Therapy Studio at its Kpogadzi Annex along the Ho-Kpetoe road.
The new facility forms part of the Hospital’s holistic healthcare agenda, offering clients, staff, and visitors a tranquil space for guided meditation, therapeutic music sessions, and emotional rejuvenation. It is expected to complement clinical care by helping reduce stress, ease anxiety, and support the psychological recovery of patients, while also providing a wellness retreat option for individuals seeking rest and renewal.

The launch ceremony drew a host of diplomats who experienced the wellness services firsthand. They included Ambassador Jean Natho Dore, Ambassador of Guinea to Ghana; Mr. Abdul Aziz Diallo, First Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the Guinea Embassy; H.E. Awoki Panassa, High Commissioner of Togo to Ghana; Ambassador Dayo Adeoye, Acting Nigerian High Commissioner; Mrs. Julia Ekeoma, Social Secretary to the High Commissioner; and Mr. Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, Consultant for Volta Fair 2025.
As part of the official launch, the diplomats were given a special treat on the facility’s services, enjoying guided tours and firsthand experiences of the Meditation Garden and the Music Therapy Studio.

During the event, participants took part in preventive health checks, meditation exercises, physiotherapy sessions, and music therapy activities led by clinical psychologists.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Human Resources, Mr. Edmund Tsogbe, reaffirmed HTH’s vision of becoming the country’s premier medical tourism hub, emphasizing the hospital’s commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care that treats both body and mind.
Diplomatic Dean and Togolese High Commissioner, H.E. Awoki Panassa, described the experience as “worth undertaking” and urged the public to take full advantage of the new facility.
The HTH’s Medical Tourism Coordinator, Mr. Anthony Bells Kafui Kanyi, announced that the Hospital will begin hosting quarterly wellness retreats and vacation packages for corporate organizations and individuals from next year.

The Meditation Garden and Music Therapy Studio are expected to become a key feature of the hospital’s therapeutic landscape, promoting resilience, healing, and a renewed approach to modern healthcare delivery.
