Two persons have been confirmed dead following a microlight aircraft crash in Tema in the Greater Accra Region.
The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in a press release said the aircraft, with registration number 9G-ADV, was flying from Ho to Accra when the incident occurred on Monday.

According to the Authority, the aircraft was expected to arrive in Accra at 1520 Zulu time but lost contact with air traffic control earlier in the journey. The last radio communication was recorded at 1418 Zulu time.
The GCAA confirmed that two persons were on board the aircraft at the time of the crash, both of whom are now reported dead.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash. The Authority says further details will be communicated as they become available.

The GCAA is responsible for regulating air transport operations in Ghana, including air navigation services within the Accra Flight Information Region.
Authorities are expected to provide more updates as efforts continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
