The Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) has congratulated Togbe Afede XIV, the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, on his appointment to the 12-member Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy.
In a statement issued in Ho, the Council described the appointment as a recognition of Togbe Afede’s distinguished leadership, business expertise, and extensive experience in enterprise and governance. The Group is chaired by the President of the Republic.
The VRCC noted that the development reflects the high regard Togbe Afede commands across political, business and traditional leadership circles. It added that the Council was particularly pleased to see the chieftaincy institution represented at the national level of economic policy advisory.
According to the statement, Togbe Afede’s background in fiscal management and industrial development positions him to offer strategic insight for Ghana’s economic transformation. His nomination was also noted alongside other accomplished personalities from academia, the public service and the private sector.
The Council expressed confidence that the Agbogbomefia will serve with distinction and bring honour to the Volta Region and the nation. It further prayed for divine guidance and strength for him in the discharge of his new mandate.
