Drone delivery service provider, Zipline Ghana, has announced the temporary suspension of operations at three of its distribution centres across the country, effective Tuesday, 25th November 2025. The affected centres are the Sefwi, Anum, and Krachi Distribution Centres.
In a notice to health facilities, Zipline indicated that the suspension is a necessary measure to safeguard the long-term sustainability of its operations. While the company did not state the specific reason for the decision, it is widely believed that significant outstanding payments reportedly running into millions of Ghana cedis owed by the state are impacting its ability to operate effectively.
Zipline emphasised that the move is not a withdrawal from its mission of supporting Ghana’s healthcare system but a strategic pause as it continues engagements with the Ministry of Health for a favourable resolution.
The three affected centres have been instrumental in delivering essential medical commodities, including blood, vaccines, and emergency medical supplies, to hard-to-reach communities. Following the suspension, regional and district health directorates are expected to advise facilities on alternative arrangements for product deliveries.
The company expressed appreciation to partner facilities for their trust and collaboration over the years and assured the public of its commitment to resuming full operations as soon as possible.
Customers and health facilities seeking further information have been encouraged to contact Zipline via its toll-free number, 0800-719-102.
