The African Women Leaders Network (AWLN) Ghana Chapter has congratulated Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korle, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, on her election as Second Vice President of the Pan-African Parliament.
In a statement issued in Accra, the Network described the achievement as a significant personal milestone for Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings and a moment of pride for Ghana and the African continent.
AWLN Ghana noted that her elevation reflects years of “principled leadership, commitment to democratic governance, and dedication to public service.” The statement highlighted her track record of integrity, competence, and forward-looking leadership, which continues to resonate both locally and across the continent.
The Network further emphasised the importance of her election at a time when Africa requires inclusive and visionary leadership within its continental institutions. It said the Pan-African Parliament plays a critical role in promoting democratic values, strengthening regional integration, and amplifying the voices of African citizens.
AWLN Ghana expressed confidence that Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings’ presence in the leadership of the Parliament would contribute to advancing policies that respond to the needs and aspirations of Africans, particularly women and the youth.
The statement also underscored the broader significance of her achievement for women’s leadership across Africa. It described her success as a source of inspiration for young women and girls, reinforcing the message that women can occupy and shape leadership spaces at the highest levels.
